The term Yikun Crossbow refers to an ultra-overstable midrange disc golf disc manufactured by Yikun Discs. Named after the ancient Chinese weapon (the Nu or repeating crossbow), it is heavily utilized by intermediate and advanced players as a specialized utility tool.
On-Course Utility
Because it lacks standard distance-driving capabilities, players carry the Crossbow for highly specific trouble scenarios:
- Headwind Approaches: Strong gales will not alter its flight path.
- Extreme Flex Lines: When thrown hard on an anhyzer (tilted) angle, it will forcefully fight back to flat and finish on a hard hyzer angle.
- Obstacle Navigation: Its flat-top profile and extreme fade allow players to snake throws sharply around trees or dense vegetation.
