The Prodiscus JokeriX is a highly versatile, overstable putt and approach disc manufactured by Finnish disc golf brand Prodiscus.
Core Profile & Design
The defining characteristic of the JokeriX is its physical design variant from its legendary predecessor, the original Jokeri.
- The Added Bead: The "X" in the name signifies the addition of a prominent bead on the bottom of the rim. This design choice gives the disc a highly comfortable grip and extra structural stability.
- Flat Top: It features a low-profile, board-flat to slightly puddle-top flight plate.
- Flight Plate Depth: It has a slightly deeper rim profile than slim, fast approach targets like the Discraft Zone, making it behave more traditionally like a throwing putter.
Ideal Uses & Performance
- Wind Fighting: Extremely trustworthy in strong headwind scenarios without shifting off line.
- Forehand Up-Shots: The combination of a flat top and a beaded grip creates a highly consistent and clean release for anhyzer forehand scrambles and short approaches.
- Short Drives: Excellent for driving off the tee on shorter par-3 holes where a predictable left-finishing fade (for right-handed backhand throws) is required.
