The Discmania Splice is an extremely overstable utility fairway driver from the Evolution line, designed for maximum reliability in the harshest conditions. It is widely considered one of the "beefiest" 9-speed discs on the market, often described as a more usable version of the legendary Discmania Tilt or a more aggressive Innova Firebird. 

• Extreme Stability: It resists turning even in the strongest headwinds and will always finish with a hard, predictable fade.
• Low Glide: With a glide rating of 3, the Splice is designed to "dump" quickly rather than carry for distance, making it a precision tool for placing shots accurately.
• Utility King: It is a "get out of jail" disc ideal for forced flex lines, spike hyzers, skip shots, and overhand throws like tomahawks. 

• Profile: The Splice is known for being table-top flat with almost no dome.
• Rim: It features a deep rim (1.1 cm depth) with a sharp bottom edge that provides excellent grip and high torque resistance, particularly for forehand players.
• Plastics: Primarily available in Neo plastic, which is durable and rigid with a semi-translucent finish. Limited runs like Meta and Lux Vapor also exist, with some players finding Vapor to be slightly more stable.

As part of Discmania's 2024 lineup overhaul, the Splice is expected to eventually transition from the Evolution line to the Originals line, likely under the name FD4.
