The Discmania MD2 (nicknamed the "Fiend") is a versatile, stable midrange designed to hold whatever line a player puts it on with a predictable, gentle finish. It is slightly more stable than the original MD, offering more resistance to turning over when thrown with power.

• Stability: It is a "line holder" that remains neutral through most of its flight but features a subtle, reliable fade at the end.
• Comparison to MD: While the MD is purely "point-and-shoot" (0 Fade), the MD2 handles wind and higher arm speeds better due to its increased low-speed stability.
• Shot Shaping: It is highly shapeable, capable of holding hyzer or anhyzer angles to the ground while providing more control than a standard overstable midrange.
• Rim: The MD2 features a micro-bead (or is sometimes described as beadless depending on the run) with a deeper, wider rim than the MD1.
• Comfort: Its balanced dimensions make it a popular choice for both backhand and forehand approach shots.
• Plastic Variants: Originally available in D-Line, P-Line, S-Line, and C-Line. C-Line versions are often flatter and more overstable, while D-Line and P-Line versions are straighter out of the box and season into excellent understable discs.

The MD2 is out of production (OOP) and has not yet been "reinvented" in Discmania's new manufacturing facility like the MD1 or MD3. As a result, it has become a sought-after collector's item.
