The Discmania MD is a legendary, straight-flying midrange disc known for its "point-and-shoot" reliability and exceptional glide. It was a staple in Discmania’s "Originals" line and is highly regarded as a neutral, beginner-friendly disc that holds any line a player puts it on.

• Neutral Stability: It is an "icon of neutrality," meaning it has almost no turn or fade when thrown with moderate power.
• Shot Shaping: It is a true "workhorse" that will hold a hyzer, fly dead straight, or maintain an anhyzer turnover for the entire flight.
• High Glide: It stays in the air longer than its speed suggests, making it excellent for long tunnel shots and accurate approaches. 

• Profile: It features a beadless rim with a convex (rounded) lower wing, which many players find very comfortable for both fan and power grips.
• Hand Feel: It is often compared to a "meatier" version of the Innova Mako or Mako3 due to its similar blunt nose and straight flight.

The original MD (manufactured by Innova for Discmania) is currently out of production. Because it is no longer made, it has become a collector's item often sold at an upcharged price on resale sites.
